    Description

Up for bid is a Vintage 1968 Detroit Tigers Baseball World Series Champions Glass. The 1968 Tigers were lead by pitcher Denny McLain who won 31 games, the last time a pitcher won 30 games in a season. McLain’s signature, which is hard to read, can be found below Jim Northrup’s. The 1968 Tigers had two Hall of Fame players, the first being Al Kaline who had a great world series, and the other was Eddie Matthews in the last year of his amazing career. Matthews role was left handed power bat off the bench. An interesting thing about Matthews, besides hitting over 500 home runs, was that he played for the Braves in Boston, Milwaukee, and Atlanta.
A beautiful glass, in mint condition, and a terrific piece of memorabilia! Super low starting bid.
I have been putting up 20-30 items a week since April and I am beginning to run out of sports memorabilia, so please don’t think my selling will continue forever. I do have old sports yearbooks, programs, lighters, and a few other random sports items that I will start selling after the glasses, mugs, ashtrays, figurines, banks, and bobbleheads run out. I also have old coins, stamps, and some non-sports items that will eventually see the light of day on eBay.
