For your consideration is a well struck, well detailed, uncirculated 1599 Poland 6 Groszy graded NGC MS61. Abundant rainbow tone and mirrored luster on the reverse. Dark, even tone on obverse. Minted in Marienburg, a.k.a. Malbork. Strike is very slightly off-center, not enough to distract, common in that era. Perfect type coin. Portrait of Sigismund III Vasa, who as monarch of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, ruled simultaneously as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1587 until his death in 1632. And just for good measure, he added to his portfolio the titles of King of Sweden and Grand Duke of Finland from 1592 to 1599.
